Long term switchover trial
A JUPITER RAIN WATER test bed system has been running continuously, testing the changeover from rain water to mains water.
In well-designed systems, rain water should be available and be used for most of the time. However, it is inevitable that there will be times when the system has to switch over to mains water:
- in a drought
- when use has been more than anticipated
- in the event of a system failure
When that happens, it is essential that the system immediately makes hte switch from rain water to mains water, so there is no interruption to the supply of water to WC's.
The JUPITER test bed has made over 1000 changeovers from rain water to mains water, without missing a beat, and still going strong.
This is much more than a system would be expected to do in its life time!
